Definitions


HCP
- healthcare professionals

Healthcare professionals are defined as any member of the medical, dental, pharmacy or nursing profession, and any other person who in the course of their professional activities may administer, prescribe, purchase, recommend or supply a medicine. Including any employee of a pharmaceutical company whose primary occupation is that of a practicing health professional.

For the purpose of this Code, the definition of HCP includes:

(i) any official or employee of a government, agency or other organisation (whether in the public or private sector) that may administer, prescribe, purchase, recommend or supply medicinal products

(ii) any employee whose primary occupation is that of a practicing HCP, but excludes

a. all other employees of a Member Company and
b. a wholesaler or distributor of medicinal products

 

ORDM - other relevant decision makers

Other relevant decision maker includes, someone in a role who could in any way influence the administration, consumption, prescription, purchase, recommendation, sale, supply or use of any medicine but who is not a (registered) health professional.

 

Non-HCP

Meeting attendees who are not in any capacity able to administer, prescribe, purchase, recommend or supply a medicine within their role. This category also applies to any other member of the public.
